How do we clasify chemical products?

chemical products

When transporting chemical products, whether they are raw materials or end products, we must bear in mind that they are dangerous goods, so they must be handled specifically and in accordance with current legislation and standards that indicate how they should be handled in order to minimise risks.

To differentiate them, we can classify them into three different categories:
Basic: they have a simple chemical structure and are produced in large quantities. They include ammonia, chlorine, acetone, ethylene oxide and glycerine, among many others.
Specialty chemicals: these are chemicals made up of different substances designed for specific treatments. Examples of these chemicals are: adhesives, agrochemicals, cleaning materials, polymers or industrial gases, among many others.
Fine chemicals: these are substances with very specific chemical characteristics, but they are produced on a small scale, such as products for developing photographs, special coatings or industrial additives, for example.

At Fernández y Aedo, we guarantee that we have the knowledge to classify and recognise these chemicals, as well as to transport your cargo safely. Ask us for a quote!
