For reasons of road safety, mobility and traffic flow, in accordance with certain dates where massive vehicle movements are expected, the Directorate General of Traffic has published in the BOE, the special traffic regulation measures during the year 2023 in the Spanish territory (except Basque Country and Catalonia). We share with you here the CETM circular, which will undoubtedly be of great value to you.

The vehicles affected by the temporary traffic restrictions, although there may be exceptions that allow certain vehicles in these categories to circulate without authorisation, are the following:

General goods vehicles with a maximum authorised mass of over 7,500 kg or more.
Vehicles transporting dangerous goods that must carry orange danger signs in accordance with ADR.
Special vehicles and vehicles requiring additional driving authorisation.

Most driving bans for goods vehicles over 7.5 tonnes occur on Fridays, weekends and public holidays.
