On 27 June, Julene Fernández Aedo had the privilege of attending the VI Bilbao Mentoring Conference, an event organised by Bilbao Ekintza at the prestigious Palacio Euskalduna. The programme of conferences and presentations was extremely interesting and enriching.
During the conference, round tables, interviews and presentations were held in which experts from different sectors shared their experiences and knowledge about mentoring strategies in organisations. It was a unique opportunity to learn from the best and get inspiring ideas on how to implement mentoring in business and entrepreneurship.
Bilbao Ekintza, as a municipal entity of the Bilbao City Council, aims to promote the development of talent and skills of people. The conference is a further effort to give business managers and entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn and understand how mentoring is applied in practice.
The event was opened by Javier Garcinuño, General Manager of Bilbao Ekintza, who welcomed the attendees and highlighted the importance of mentoring in personal and professional growth. At the closing of the event, Xabier Ochandiano, Councillor for Economic Development, Trade and Employment of the Bilbao City Council, presented the awards to the mentors of the 14th Edition of the Bilbao City Council Mentoring Programme, in recognition of their valuable work and commitment.
As a mentor in the Bilbao Ekintza Mentoring Programme, Julene has the responsibility of guiding and accompanying people in their learning and development processes, and her experience in the VI Bilbao Mentoring Conference will surely be of great help in her work.
The VI Bilbao Mentoring Conference was an inspiring and motivating event, where experiences were shared and valuable connections were established.
